Basic Certification Course for Practicing Tour Guides
WRTI in collaboration with stakeholders has developed a competency-based curriculum for the training and certification of practicing tour guides in all related sub-fields. This programme provides an outline of competencies that practicing tour guides should posses and be able to demonstrate as a basis for certification and licensing by Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA). The training targets all forms of guiding – tour guide, mountain climbing porters, marine or nature guide, naturalist, birders, cultural guides, wildlife scouts, cultural and museum curators, animators and tour escorts etc. KWSTI invites applications from suitable and qualified practicing guides to enroll for the above program
Entry Requirements
KCSE qualifications and 3 years proven (TRA licensed and/ or membership to a TRA recognized association/ licensed tour operations) active guiding.
